Description
A long-eared owl is perched on a tree branch, looking directly at the camera with its large, yellow eyes. Its feathers are well-camouflaged against the tree bark, and the background is softly blurred, highlighting the owl's gaze and distinct ear tufts.
I have lived in my home now for 22 years and I have never seen a Long Eared Owl in our area. I usually have to travel 2 hours north to find them. I don't know if this one got lost in the storm, but I had the chance to watch it for 2 days before it left. Really glad it was in the backyard for a few days.
