Ever have just one of those mornings where nothing goes right? Well that was the case for this juvenile Great Horned Owl. As I was looking for owls I noticed this little guy in a pretty bad position. These young owls were just at the stage of learning to fly on their own, and this one some how got one of its wings stuck in between some branches. I usually don't like to get to close to the wildlife, but in this case I decided to help the little guy out. After taking a few shots and knowing it was not getting out of the jam it found itself in, I snuck up behind it and broke the branch it was stuck in. Luckily Everything worked out great. It was unstuck with no broken wing. I later came back to the same spot and found that it made its way back up into the tops of the trees. What an awesome experience in the natures of Idaho.
First and foremost, I would like to thank you for visiting my gallery. I truly hope you enjoy my work. Please feel free to reach out to me about any questions regarding my prints. I love being able to share what I capture through my lens with the world, and I hope in the process I can give someone a little inspiration along the way. There is a lot of different photographs to look at in my gallery and I appreciate you taking the time to check out some of my works. A little bit about myself...the photography bug bit me back in 2012, and ever since then I have what some might call an addiction. I love getting outdoors and finding what our world has to offer. From wildlife and nature to landscapes and nostalgia images and everything in...

I have watched owlets clumsily fly and tumble around trees before-- at times heart stoppingly so. It is not as straightforward and safe as most would imagine. Great thinking with the branch!
