Description
This male Saw Whet owl was dug into some pretty thick brush as he was trying to get a little rest during their nesting season. These guys have to be very careful so the Great Horned owls don't take them out and in this shot, there was a Great Horned owl about 10 feet above this guy in the same tree.

Terrific shot Michael! I'm jealous, rarely see owls though i look for 'em all the time! Did you get any shots of the Great Horned Owl as well?
